Flashback

I couldn't grasp what had just happened. The furthest my memory would reach was an argument. I couldn't understand who was arguing and what they were arguing about at first. It felt like I was a ghost in the distance just watching these two people argue. The boy looked very angry and distraught while the girl looked like she was going to cry any second. I began to yell at them to try and make them stop, but they couldn't here me. I didn't understand. I was standing right next to them!. I tried screaming in the boy's ear and yanking on the girl's brown hair. They didn't seem to notice any of this at all. I racked my brain trying to figure out why they couldn't hear me, but I began to get a headache and just gave up and started to listen to the conversation.
"What have you done!" screamed the girl. She started to wipe the tears away with the back of her hand. The boy stepped foward with outstreached arms wanting to console her, but she just slapped them away. "Don't you touch me."
"Look you know we needed the money. I'm not proud of it and I shouldn't have done it, I know." the boy sighed looking down at his worn out converse.
"And now they are gonna make you pay for it?" the girl whispered. Her big blue eyes stared up at him for a response that she wanted more than anything to be no. He just kept staring at his shoes, not wanting to meet her hopeful gaze.
"Why?!" she whined, "We didn't need the money that bad. There are other ways of getting some cash, like a job for instance!"
"You know I have to go." he whispered finally looking up from the floor. His face was tear stained and fear was in his eyes.
"No you don't. We can leave tonight. Get out of the country. Lay low for awhile."
"I'm not doing that to you. Plus they will find me eventually. You have a long live ahead of you. Don't screw it up like I did." He hugged her and then turned to leave. He got straight in his car and never looked back.
The girl sat on the floor, tears pouring from her face. Her whole body was shaking, but then she stopped. She looked up at the counter where another pair of keys laid. She jumped up and grabbed them and ran to the second car. All of a sudden my body jolted as well. I began seeing things through the girl's eyes. I felt the steering wheel between my fingers. That's when I remembered everything. The girl in the room was me and I knew what was going to happen next, but I couldn't stop it, I just had to brace myself for it.
I chased the beat up chevy for a good five minutes. That's when I saw them. The black mustang pulled up beside me and I knew. They were going to ram into the chevy and kill him. It's what they do in their buisness. Someone breaks the rules, they pay with their life. I knew what they were going to do, but he obvioulsy didn't. He kept driving that beat up chevy straight ahead. I knew I had to act fast. I didn't want to see him die. He didn't deserve it. He was only looking out for me. It was my fault that he had gotten into trouble and I had to fix it.
I looked to the side of the road and saw the generator. This is what they were waiting for. Ramming the car hard enough to create electricity or fire, another words instant death. I saw them swerve and I acted fast. I sped up in between the mercedes and the chevy. The mercedes smashed into my car just before it was able to reach the chevy. Both cars skidded across the road and I began to panic a little knowing what was going to happen next. My car smashed into the side of the generator creating huge sparks as the neighborhood near by lost power.
Once again I was standing by like a ghost staring at my lifeless body. I did what I had to do and paid with my life, yet I wasn't upset. I looked up and saw him standing there. Tears flowed down his face and he grabbed my lifeless hand.
"You shouldn't have done that. I'm not worth it." he whispered through his tears, "I love you little sis." He began sobbing uncontrollably. I stepped forward. I didn't know if he would be able to hear me or not, but it was worth a shot.
"I love you too brother." I said. He glanced up and looked around. Yet he couldn't find the source of the voice he heard. But it brought him peace for somehow he knew it was me and a smile formed on his face. I smiled back and faded away.
